Privacy Policy

Oculiv ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal and health information when you use the Oculiv platform.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign up, we collect basic account information through Google OAuth, including your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not store your Google password.

Health Data

When you upload lab reports or enter health data, we collect and process:

  • Uploaded documents (PDF files, images)
  • Extracted biomarker values, test names, units, and reference ranges
  • Manually entered health values
  • Standardized medical codes (LOINC) and units (UCUM)

Usage Data

We collect basic usage data such as pages visited and features used to improve the service. We do not use third-party analytics trackers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process and standardize your health data
  • Display your health timeline and biomarker trends
  • Enable you to review and correct AI-extracted data
  • Improve our AI extraction accuracy
  • Communicate with you about service updates

We never sell your data. We never share your health information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in India. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Original uploaded documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access controls.

4. De-identification

We practice de-identification by default. Where possible, health data is processed and stored separately from personally identifiable information. When we use health data to improve our AI models, it is aggregated and anonymized.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access — View all health data we have stored for you
  • Export — Download your data in standard formats (FHIR-compatible)
  • Correct — Modify or correct any extracted health values
  • Delete — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Portability — Take your data with you. No vendor lock-in.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — For secure authentication
  • Supabase — For database and authentication infrastructure
  • Cloud storage — For encrypted document storage

These services have their own privacy policies. We select providers that meet our security and privacy standards.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your personal and health data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for service improvement.

8. Children's Privacy

Oculiv is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the platform. Your continued use of Oculiv after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
